A Christmas Carol 3D

I want a refund!!
Charles Dickens wrote a fantastic story, he created memorable characters and left a heart-warming message for all. This was the stepping stone from which this movie adaptation should have leapt off, instead, it plunged into a never-ending abyss of disappointment.
I was so excited to see this movie since i loved the book and all previous adaptations of the story, especially the muppets version which was funny and added a creative twist to the classic tale. Seeing that this would starr Jim Carrey, and that it was an animation, I expected an enjoyable, entertaining experience, but I could never imagine how BADLY this movie would turn out. Half way through I just wanted to get up and leave.
It was sooooo boring and draggy. The 3D effects were ok, but seeing this was meant to be a family movie, I found the movie a bit too scary for the kids. For some reason, a simple, heart warming story, became a haunting horror movie. Not until the very end of the movie did i feel any christmas spirit, the movie was very depressing and dull.
The movie chose to use a script that followed the language of the time period. This made the movie extremely hard to follow and understand. For most of the movie, it practically felt like they were talking in jibberish. I can't imagine the kids would understand what they are saying.
For those expecting comedy, let me tell you now....there was absolutely nothing funny about this movie. This movie was a HUGE disappointment, I would not recommend anyone to watch it. I hated it.
Overall rating: 0.5/5 (only for the 3D effects)
